Why Nicole created this gathering
"I know the feeling of wanting to call my mom every day — she was my safety net, the woman who loved me with everything she had."
Nicole's relationship with her mom was far from perfect — it was complicated and messy, and she's done a lot of inner work and healing around it. But what she discovered is this: when she's met by another woman who carries the same loss, she feels seen, validated, and not alone.
This evening was designed to be exactly that — a place to show up as you are, held in community, and walk away with more peace, love and confidence in yourself.

— Hiraeth Hope & Healing
Is this for me?
This event is for the women who are:
motherless and mothering
became a mom after your mom died
Estranged from your mother
On your journey of becoming a mother without your mom
and you can relate to all or some of these experiences:
You lost your mom and you are raising children of your own — doing the most important job of your life without the woman who showed you how.
You are running a business, leading a team, or building something meaningful while carrying a grief that nobody in your professional world really sees or knows how to hold.
You have searched for a space where you could bring the grief and the ambition, the sadness and the joy, the anger and the love — all at the same time — and never quite found it.
You are tired of trying to squeeze your feelings down. You are ready to be witnessed.
You want to honour her. You want to honour yourself. And you want to do it surrounded by women who get it because they are living it too.
Meet Nicole Weston
Nicole Weston is a transformational life coach, therapist and trained social worker, Quantum Change Process practitioner, podcast host and motherless mother.
She lost her mom suddenly on May 3rd, 2021. In the years that followed she went to the depths of her darkness, questioned everything she thought she knew about herself, and did the deep soul-level work to integrate who she was before and who she was becoming.
She started the Can't Call Your Mom podcast because she was searching for a space that held all of it — the grief, the ambition, the motherhood, the business, the identity — and she couldn't find it. So she built it.
This gathering is the in-person heartbeat of that movement. And it is the evening she would have given anything to walk into in those early days.
She cannot wait to be in the room with you.
Common questions
Before you decide,
here's what people ask
Is this only for women who have listened to the podcast?
Not at all. If you are a motherless mother, you belong here. Full stop.
Is this a grief support group?
No. This is a celebration and a remembering. It is safe intentional and spiritual, an opportunity to make space for YOU and your mom. To experience new ways to move your grief and most importantly taking care of YOU.
How many women will be there?
30 to 60 women
What do I bring?
Just yourself. A photo of your mom if you have one, and something you would want to say to her.
